Ruth Rochelle has more than 25 years consulting experience working with leaders, owners and senior management teams, helping them to unlock the best in themselves and their people. She has a special interest in enabling her clients to form, grow, and maintain high-performance relationships within their organizations and externally.

Experience

While reading Architecture at the University of Wales, Ruth became fascinated by the ways in which environments clearly affected people’s mood and productivity. She grew more and more curious about people – how they tick, communicate, contribute, and work together. She left the study of buildings and began a new career path, which started with a position in psychiatric rehabilitation. Here she learned about enabling individuals to achieve results beyond perceived and real limitations.

Ruth was MD of the UK operation of an international personal development organization for five years, and also presented intensive personal development seminars around the world to large groups of people.

In 1988 she set up her own consulting and coaching business offering programmes in communication, team-building, motivation, leadership, managing change and personal development to senior executives throughout the marketing and communications industry in the UK. She has also worked in retail, government, and financial services sectors.

In 1991, in addition to running her own consultancy, she became one of the original coaches at The Coaching House. She was instrumental in building the company’s approach and led many projects for them during their first eight years of business.

Over the years she has developed her own philosophy, models and coaching style. She prides herself in her ability to listen at the deepest level in order to fully identify and address the core of any issue. She is committed to helping individuals build honest, brave, respectful and productive relationships with their team members – whether working with the board or more junior teams. She uses her experience in business to complement her people skills and helps her clients to arrive at solutions that not only work but also are popular.

Her clients have included BBC,
B&Q, CBS Outdoor, Cello Group, Claire’s, Daily Mail, Discovery Channel, Electronic Arts, Etam Group, Financial Times, News International, Office of Fair Trading, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Saatchi & Saatchi, Tesco, Universal Pictures International, Zenith Optimedia.
