Experience
Joan’s early experience as director of a university continuing education program in business management fostered her interest in the importance of lifelong learning for leaders as they respond to continuous change. Her corresponding interest in global affairs and social justice issues led her to pursue opportunities with public and not-for-profit clients in Europe, USA, Australia and the Pacific.
Joan is valued for her deep-thinking strategic leadership, pragmatism, and keen insight to working in complex, cross cultural environments, all of which is informed by her ongoing study and cultivated experience in the areas of organizational and leadership development, adult development, emotional intelligence, neuroscience, positive psychology and executive coaching. She walks the talk of lifelong learning and aims to bring her own self-awareness, humility and good humour into each client relationship. As a result, she is a passionate partner for leaders who are ready to face into their next growth edge.
Since 2004, Joan’s consulting and coaching practice has focused on building leadership capability across all levels of client organisations, thereby improving organizational culture.
