Murray Wright has over 25 years with experience in Europe, the Middle East, South-East Asia and Australia in leadership roles in international and national hotels. He also has experience in tertiary education and consulting. He has been consulting, coaching and facilitating for over 14 years, his work is about connecting individuals and teams to their potential to be better leaders, make a better world and live a better life.

Experience

Murray’s international career taught him how to work with different cultures and overcome challenging situations in difficult environments. His Group GM roles for national hotel chains in Australia required management of difficult stakeholder relationships as well as driving change in culture and ways of operating as part of transition. Working with a coach connected Murray with his passion to be the one doing the coaching. Making the change provided the opportunity to consult, and as his skills developed, to coach and facilitate to a range of industry sectors where his experience and insights of business at all levels is appreciated.

Murray brings presence and commitment to building relationships adopting a systemic approach to bring new perspective and deeper insight as a starting point to meaningful work with individuals and teams. His work is dynamic and underpinned by contemporary approaches including systems work, narrative coaching and mindfulness.

He has worked with individuals and teams within hospitality, real estate,

recruitment, not for profit, telecommunications, property services, retail,

FMCG and government including work in South-East Asia and the Pacific

Qualifications

Murray holds a BA in Hotel and Catering Management from Strathclyde

University and completed a Key Executive leadership program at Harvard Business School. He is certified as an organizational coach, having completed all 3 levels of training 3 with the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership.

He has trained in System Dynamics and Organisational Constellations with Sarah Cornally and Systemic Team coaching with Peter Hawkins. He is accredited in Lifestyles Inventory, Leadership Impact, The Leadership Circle, Hogan 360 – profiling tools as well as HBDI, Everything DISC and the Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey. He is also a certified in Mental First Aid.
