Steve Goudswaard
Steve is an executive coach and systems change manager who partners with leaders to navigate uncertainty with purpose.
Experience
He has worked in leadership and change roles for over 30 years, in more than 40 countries.
Previously Steve has developed a global emergency management system; run simulation exercises for 20-300 people; managed a ten member regional consortium in Southern Africa; managed a 4 country cluster in the Pacific; lead large scale emergency responses; been the inaugural board chair for ‘Response Innovation Labs’ initiative conducted research in the resilience of emergency responders and has been part of the faculty for Humanitarian Leadership Program for Deakin University.
As a consultant, he now guides boards and executive teams through systemic change processes. Steve’s clients have included schools, government departments, a financial institution, small to medium sized businesses, Universities and Non-Government Organisations. Steve has developed a variety of interactive facilitation styles, over the past 20 years in cross cultural settings.
He has coached managers, emergent leaders, executives in transition and disruption for more than 12 years; he brings 16 years of experience as a leadership trainer and developer. He is skilled in responsive, agile, adaptive and creative deployment of human resources, particularly during times of uncertainty and change. Steve teaches and has been a keynote speaker on adaptive strategy. Additionally, Steve has over 18 years of experience working with and on governance boards.
Steve is married with adult children and enjoys being a grandfather. He is based in Wandin North, Victoria, Australia where he can go cycling, walking, listening to podcasts and some wine tasting.
